An MLS or Multiple Listing Service is a group of licensed real estate brokers who get together and agree to list each others listings on their websites, and in other advertisements as well. They all agree to the terms and conditions of how this is to be done.

The advantage of this for the typical home seller is EXPOSURE. You simply can get your home that you are trying to sell seen by more people when it is on MANY websites rather than just one.
